POSITION SUMMARY:
GRANTS:
Manages Riverwood's grant process by seeking funding opportunities for Riverwood Healthcare Center, Riverwood Foundation and Riverwood Auxiliary. Includes proactively researching state, federal, foundation, private and public funding sources, submitting letters of inquiry, proposals and other documentation, monitoring grant requirements, and providing follow up reporting. The Grants Specialist will obtain funds for ongoing or special institutional projects.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING:
Provides support to Executive Director in all donor/community communications and marketing initiatives involving Riverwood Foundation. Takes lead role in developing yearly communications plan with support from Foundation Coordinator and Executive Director.
JOB DUTIES:
Identifies and researches corporate, foundation and government sources of funding. Researches funding proposal requirements and submittal deadlines, and maintains report deadline calendar. Works with Riverwood administrators to determine funding needs, and communicates grant opportunities to Riverwood management team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
BA with emphasis on communication or writing, and proven grant writing or fund development experience preferred. AA degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
