Riverwood offers expert treatment from a nationally certified nurse specialist in ostomy and continence care--Shirley Stille, RN, BAN, who sees patients for evaluation and treatment of ostomy or continence concerns.

For incontinence problems, the nurse can identify causes of incontinence, provide specific testing and offer treatment plans and patient education. For ostomy care, she provides preoperative and postoperative education, preoperative site marking, appliance choice and fitting, assessment of stoma function and healing and complications, and addresses concerns and questions.
